Saman Kavosh Tabas Co. (SKT) is mining subsidiary of Saman Faraz Gheshm Co (SFG) Holdings, the main major of this company is extraction of thermal and coking coal from coal field regions in Kamar-e-Mehdi and Parvadeh respectively. This company is the main contractor of IMIDRO (Iranian Mines & Mining Industries Development & Renovation) and IMPASCO (Iran Minerals Production and Supply Company) in Block No.4 Parvadeh 4 and East Parvadeh (coking coal kind), respectively. The annual production of each of these mines are 600,000 tons separately, it means 1,2 Million tons raw coal that can provide 700,000 tons clean coal after the washing of them in 300 tons/hour capacity coal washing plant. Block No.4 Parvadeh 4 was opened by 3 inclined shafts and the whole mine was divided to east and west parts. Choosing of the semi mechanized method with production of 100,000 tons in east part was based on the more complicated situation (higher dip in coal seam). The west part of this mine has the best situation for using fully mechanized by production capacity of 500,000 tons in a year. In this mine the proved reserve is about 10 million tons in 2 different seams of C1 and B2.

East Parvadeh have the same condition as Block No.4 and will be opened by 3 inclined shafts and will be divided to east and west part. In this mine both side will have 2 active semi mechanized longwall panel to provide 600,000 tons raw coal production. In East Parvade the thickness of coal seam is lower than Block No.4 and using fully mechanized will increase the dilution. In this mine the proved reserve is about 50 million tons in 2 different seams of C1 and B2. Kamar-e-Mahdi coal field have 450 million tons thermal coal deposit.
